Erroneous information distributed in flyers in hard-fought Victoria riding
Canada's elections watchdog has sanctioned the Green Party for deliberately pushing "misleading" polling data on the eve of last fall's federal election

I think the only fair and reasonable answer is to hold another general election.
Really, though, it's like finding out that the guy who came in sixth place was taking steroids.
Anyway the Victoria results is Green karma
So they fooled people into thinking that the riding was a two-way NDP-Green race when it was actually a two-way NDP-Green race?
A pretty wordy statement:
Notice: Green Party of Canada enters into Compliance Agreement with Commissioner of Canada Elections
Here's from the actual Compliance Agreement:
Evidently they fooled them into thinking it was somehow neck-and-neck.
Say it ain't so May!!
The use of a poll with almost a 10% margin of error without stating the margin of error was bad. The use of the first in a series of polls which then showed a decline in Green support in the riding while then claiming it was the latest result was intentional misleading of the electorate and makes this little story reprehensible.
I guess this is what May meant when she hammered on the theme of Doing Politics Differently.
nice stuff for a Minister
From last year, Elizabeth May saying the NDP is spreading "false information" (her words) about the Green Party

It would be doubly ironic if the "false information" was just the NDP showing voters the real numbers.
The Green candidate in this riding, where I live, sent out leaflets and ran hard on the basis that the Greens were neck and neck with the NDP on Vancouver Island and the Conservatives had no chance of winning. He apparently was citing the flawed Victoria polls. The local NDP were saying the Greens aren't even in the race in the riding. I believe that is what May was talking about when she claimed Johns NDP campaign was giving out false information.
The actual results were NDP 38% Cons 28% Liberals 22% and the Greens 12%. The Greens lied during the last part of the campaign and I know it pissed me off because it was clear to anyone following the campaign that they were not running neck and neck with the NDP and the Conservatives were still the main contenders.
