Join the International Youth and Students for Social Equality (IYSSE) at York University for a free film screening and discussion of Tsar to Lenin.

Described as "The most vital and important film in the history of movies." by the New York Post in 1937, and receiving similar accolades during its limited opening run, the film presents the 1917 Russian Revolution as it really was. The masses of workers and peasants, who fought tsarist autocracy and capitalist militarism, were educated and galvanized by the Bolsheviks of Lenin and Trotsky.

Following the film, we will open the floor to a discussion of the revolution, and its echoes throughout history.
