Canada's new Liberal majority government has promised Canadians a new electoral system in the first half of their mandate. With the election results yet again skewed, a new voting system is desperately needed.

As the 2015 federal election fast approaches, electoral reform has emerged as a platform issue.

Three main political parties -- the Liberals, the NDP and the Greens -- have committed to making 2015 the last federal election conducted with the first-past-the-post system.

Which voting system would you prefer for Canada?

To strategic vote or not strategic vote continues to be a big question this election. Many campaigns, like Leadnow's Vote Together, are pushing for the "anything put Harper" option, which gets at the crux of the issue: the need for electoral reform.

The NDP has long campaigned on fixing the first-past-the-post system, and both the Greens and the Liberals are campaigning on a platform to abolish Canada's current first-past-the-post system. Fair Vote Canada continues to push for electoral reform.
