The Investigatory Powers Bill in Britain legalizes a range of tools for hacking and snooping unmatched anywhere in Europe. Once the bill becomes law, the pressure will be on Canada to harmonize. As such, the new legislation has enormous implications for Canada. Micheal Vonn is Policy Director at the B.C. Civil Liberties Association. She speaks with Redeye host James Mainguy.
