UPDATE - Apology. I didn't see that there was a Dion thread opened up (but no post about this op-ed by Craig). I did a search under the surname of Dion and nothing came up for 2017. So admins you can decide whether to merge this with the Dion thread or let it stand on its own.
It seems like our Prime Minister is a chip off the old block! People will love this!
Dion's replacement, Chrystia Freeland, it seems, has not been completely forthcoming about her family's Nazi past. The Polish authorities have plenty of questions.
Canada's New Foreign Minister - what about her Family's Ukrainian Nazi Past?
"The reason the Polish Government is now investigating Freeland is that Chomiak’s wartime record not only victimized Galician Jews, but also the Polish citizens of Crakow. In a salute to Freeland as a “great friend of Poland” by the Polish Embassy in Ottawa last week, Warsaw officials now believe a mistake was made. "
hmm. A short Ministerial appointment, perhaps?
Thanks for this...I read the John Helmer article with fascination as my family roots are from that very area.......no doubt she will have a very forceful role to play in this traditional Ukraine territory and with the coup government there....all very disturbing developments of our Trudeau Government orientation.....it will be crucial to watch this very forceful personality moves in the region!
I just want to caution that Russia-Insider has allegedly been ripping off their contributors so be warned. The story looks geniune enough.
another quote.
Scratch an extreme Russophobe and what do you find?
A smile.
Yeah, somehow I doubt they paid Ben Garrison for this charming cartoon.
This one is more relevant to the thread.
Follow the money - especially when it comes to noisy proponents of endless war.
Is this the same Ben Garrison who did this?
I'm really going to laugh my ass off if Freeland becomes persona non grata in Russia ... and Poland!
...And Washington
It is, Rev.
You have to be careful though, because as bad as he is, some people have been doctoring his cartoons to make them even more racist. In most cases International Jewish Conspiracy stuff.
And ikosmos, owning a newspaper makes one a war profiteer now? I thought one had to do things like sell oil and rubber to the Nazis to get that title. Must have been a real crafty one if he kept his millions hidden in that refugee camp. Though I am not sure why you take such a dim view. He was just cheering on people being slaughtered, same as you have done about Aleppo.
With the difference that if he hadn't he would probably have wound up imprisoned himself.
Period. End of sentence. End of story.
M. Middlle, thead dupication has NEVER happened here before. (sarcasm mode of course) Let the threads flourish! Also I like how few posts in we got into Russia/Ukraine. Anyway, this is my last day covering for Meg, so knock yourselves out guys.
Also I'm banning Magoo for egregious use of cute puppy pictures.
