The 3rd University of Ottawa Human Rights Film Festival will feature international documentaries and films highlighting compelling human rights issues focusing on the theme of violence against women. The screenings will be followed by opportunities for discussion with film makers, academics and experts. The Festival also includes a workshop on the use of film for human rights advocacy and is one of the initiatives taking place within the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence, an international campaign which calls for the elimination of gender-based violence by raising awareness at the local, national, and international levels.
