Show Notes:

The platform of the Toronto Urban Film Festival

The Toronto Urban Film Festival comes together at the beginning of September every year as a collection of independent short films at their finest, humbly showcased for free on TTC screens across the city. This seems in direct contest with another, more notorious film festival that happens every September in the city… why the choice to run TUFF alongside TIFF? What can commuters expect to get out of this truly “underground” festival? What is the process and what is the draw of submitting one of your films to this festival? We speak about all these topics in separate interviews with Sharon Switzer, the Director of TUFF, and with Adam Zivo, a Toronto freelance artist whose film Non-Refundable is in the festival’s line-up this year.
