Proportional Representation: time to take action now with the new Liberal government

The Liberal Party has promised that 2015 will be the last First Past The Post election. They've promised to set up a committee to look at alternatives. The promise is at the following site:

This is a great opportunity for us to get a proportional system that will help make each vote count! But this will take action.

Note #1:

While it's good news that the Liberals have declared they'll make 2015 the last FPTP election, they may opt for another winner-take-all system like Alternate Vote (with preferential balloting), which, if not in the context of a proportional system, would not really be an improvement (see https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bx38vorBQgfmYWxXVDhKeFQtaHc/view and the heading "Why don’t we just rank candidates in our existing riding?") We need a proportional system.

Let's try to make this about taking action for change. Let them know we want a proportional system. Worries about the flavour can come later. So, anyone who simply wants to debate which flavour of proportional representation is best, well, you can do so at the following threads:
