babble is rabble.ca's discussion board but it's much more than that: it's an online community for folks who just won't shut up. It's a place to tell each other — and the world — what's up with our work and campaigns.
A Christmas game intended to keep us from killing each other ! :D

.
We did this quite a number of years ago, and it was actually sort of fun. Of course that was back int the day before we had all so succumed to bitter cynicism, but what the hell.
It's simple, people post, and have to say something nice about the poster immediately above. I'll get it started, and I will be seriously made sad if I have to dragout all my sock puppets, then watch it slowly disappear off the active topics thread.
Ah oldgoat, the most noble of my creations. His life was gentle, and the elements mixed so well in him that Nature might stand up and say to all the world, “This was a man.”
and then there was God. a seriously capable creator. there was none so fine in the universe full of Gods.
What can one say of God that hasn't been said a thousand times before? It's great that he's so omipotent and omniscient, but never lords it over us. He made everything we like, and all he's ever asked of us is that we not covet our neighbour's ass, and a few other things, but mostly He's down with us just getting along, and would probably be pretty happy if we could even bat .500 on those Commandments.
Also, just when you think He's all serious and humourless and "Thou shalt not..." and such, he goes and makes the platypus.
(psst..Magoo, you're supposed to say something nice about quizzical) (oh, btw, glad you're back, and I miss your cooking tips posts.)
Oldgoat: he'll carry a tune, he'll carry a conversation, but he won't carry a grudge.
quizzical: she's clearly quicker than I. She raised a toast to God and had it posted while I was still making sure I spelled 'platypus' right.
Mr. Magoo: interesting and thought provoking posts that occasionally are hilarious too (the baboon post from the "NDP policy not an instructional manual for party" thread comes to mind).
Mark is succinct.
Pondering is far from a slacker and very invested in participating in this forum. I often envy her energy and commitment.
Days are always brightened by laine lowe sightings! She can be counted upon to side with the oppressed and marginalized folks of the world. As the song goes:
Well, I guess I better jump in at this point or the thread will die right here.
Unionist, a tireless fighter for the cause, a person of unwavering principle, consistently thoughtful and well informed, I'd say not especially shy, and truely deserving of nothing but the highest quality anthracite in his stocking this year.
Santa was good enough to bring me a bottle of single malt last year. Thanks a bunch for that.
He's a slumberjack and he's okay
He fights for rights and argues with sway
Private enterprise, he does despise,
He goes to the lavatory
On Sundays he's protesting
for worker solidarity
Protects the trees, and eats his lunch
he goes to the lavatory
On Sundays he's protesting
for worker solidarity
He posts Babble, He reads and slumps,
He'll point out an oxymoron.
He puts on worker's clothing,
And hangs around in bars.
Mark is a poet and he sure does know it.
Holiday season's over now, and I feel a bit bad for the last person. I've only been on the board less than an hour, but I hear Sean's hot.
I wish that were said about me more often.
Positively molten... like the wax from a gouda cheese left on a burner on top of the stove.
Now that the season is over, can we go back to trying to kill each other. Please.
yikes!
