babble is rabble.ca's discussion board but it's much more than that: it's an online community for folks who just won't shut up. It's a place to tell each other — and the world — what's up with our work and campaigns.
"Lebanon"
September 24, 2010 - 10:40pm
There's a new film showing at our local community cinema.
Here's a blurb:
Barf
Oh boo frikkin' hoo. I guess you bastards should have thought about that before leaving the Zionist entity, or better yet, your homes in Germany and Poland.
Samuel Moaz the director is the main charachter in the film, and was born in Tel Aviv.

Thank you for that. Thanks for what? Who is Samuel Moaz?
The director. Apparently the story is his way of explaining away why it was hard for him to reconcile going to a place where he didn't belong and killing people he didn't know, and had nothing personal against.
So, he wanted to be a bloodthirsty asshole but failed to acheieve that goal
PS: I apologize for my shit spelling.
Irony noted; yet do you think this film is his insurance policy against being blown up in one of those notorious Israeli pizza parlours?
I expect the film is mere appologetics that talks about how traumatizing it is to be the tool of the imperial machine, so unless I hear differently, I will likely not see it. Sympathy for the devil is one thing, sympathy for the tools quite another.
I saw this film on TV a few weeks ago. It wasn't what I'd expected. The Israelis weren't the good guys, really. The Falangists were definitely bad guys, while the Lebanese were shown as helpless victims (except for one Khaffiya-covered Kalshnikov wildman).
So, rather than start a new thread, this one will do..

Enemies Not Safe As Long As Resistance Exists: Hezbollah Chief
http://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2015/10/18/433921/Lebanon-Nasrallah-Resista...
Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah has hailed the sacrifices of resistance fighters, saying enemies cannot feel safe as long as the resistance front is alive.
Touching on the tensions in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian lands and the new wave of Israeli violence there, the Hezbollah chief called on all sides to stand by the oppressed Palestinian nation in its Intifada against the occupying regime of Tel Aviv.
He pointed to the 'Takfiri project' in the ME, saying were it not for the steadfastness of resistance fighters on the battlefield against Daesh and other extremist groups, the situation of the region would be even worse.
Referring to the Saudi aggression against Yemen, the Hezbollah chief stated that if Saudis manage to break the resistance of the Arab nation, al Qaeda and Takfiri elements will be able to step up their terror activities there."

BAR: Palestinians Resist Zionist Terror, Plus US, European, Arab Royal, Turkish and Nigerian Terror - by Glen Ford
http://blackagendareport.com/palestinians_resist_zionist_terror
"They cluster in the prosperous, Christmas-themed streets of Beirut: Syrian mothers and their children begging from passersby until deep in the night; young girls holding infant siblings; pre-teen boys with shoe-shine cans who persist for blocks before finally taking no for an answer; grandmothers tapping on the windows of traffic-trapped cars.
One million Syrians have descended on neighboring Lebanon, a tiny nation of only four million people that now hosts the highest percentage of refugees in the world.
Nowhere is the refugee crisis more acute than in the camps of the Palestinians, themselves exiled from their neighboring homeland by Zionist terror 67 years ago. Half a million Palestinians are registered as refugees in Lebanon, with somewhat less than half of them living in 12 camps.
Malcolm X is big in Lebanon...."
I wonder how many Palestinian 'Syrian refugees' Canada selected?
Sounds like a jolly good time was had at the conference
