Quote:
Dana O'Born, Freeland’s campaign manager, spoke to Ricochet by telephone earlier this month. She said the Freeland campaign plans to run on family issues among others, and will highlight the fact that Hollett is not a mother, while Freeland is a mother of three.

Quite aside from this, Chrystia Freeland also happens to be one of the foremost pro Ukrainian ultranationalists in the Canadian parliament. No small feat, since ALL of Canada's MPs support the US-installed Nazi oligarchy and its atrocities without reservation or criticism. Much as they do Israel's.

Chrystia Freeland on Ukraine

"Concerning the Liberal Party in Canada, it appreciates and backs the Harper government's support of Kyiv, but it also criticizes both the government and the NDP for being too soft on Russia and the 'pro-Russian separatists' in eastern Ukraine.

Key ideologues of Liberal Party foreign policy spoke to a public forum on Ukraine in Toronto on Aug 11. You can view excerpts of the forum here. A key demand on the Liberal Party wish-list for Ukraine is that the Canadian government begin to provide heavy weaponry to the Ukrainian army..."

Freeland said she was upset that Oliver planned to deliver a economic speech in the private Cambridge Club, which caters to business executives. The lunchtime talk was cancelled just two hours before it was supposed to start after facing criticism on social media.

Though Oliver wasn't there, Freeland and members of the media went anyway. She was greeted in the lobby of the hotel where the club is housed by its manager and an unidentified man in a bathrobe and sneakers, who has since captured the imagination of the internet.

I'm not convinced this will have a negative impact and I think it may have a positive impact. The mocking ups her profile and women are sympathetic to crashing a men's club.

But what will voters think of Freeland planning to attack Jennifer Hollett for not having any children? It's like Freeland is channeling Sarah Palin

So a debate on women's issues without one on men is okay, a speech at a men's club is bad, a men's club is bad, but a women's only fitness centre is okay.

 Hypocracy.

Although I'm surprise that such a club still exists.

Look at the upside. Isn't it better to be pro-procreationist than pro-creationist?

Bad day for Freeland. First, any Canadian has the right to invite a politician to speak to them. The problem wasn't the invitation but Oliver's acceptance. She should direct her anger at him. Secondly don't try and have a serious political discussion with a man who is standing by a guy in a bathrobe. It looks ridiculous. Finally, when you combine this with the accusations that her campaign is trying to make an issue of the fact that her opposition does not have children you start wondering if this stunt was a sign of desperation on her part. It makes you think that the internal polls and/or canvass is not going well.

If I were a member of an exclusive club like this, and stopped by one day for a quick sauna, only to find a federal candidate, some cameras, and some really bright lights in the lobby I would totally hide behind the cognac dispenser.  Tophats off to bathrobe guy for reminding us all that it's every Canadian's right to cross their arms.

That said, I actually live in Freeland's riding, and NO SALE.  I'll be voting for that barren woman, thankyouverymuch.

So far that is nothing but a nasty rumour. I think most people will wait until she actually does it before judging her for something she hasn't done.

No way do the Liberals mention the "barren woman's " (thank you Mr. Magoo for that) status now. But we do have two journalists who claim that in separate interviews the Liberals say that WAS the plan.

Freeland and Vaughan are in huge trouble, they both need a huge reversal or they'll back in the private sector by the new year.

I'm sure that over the years there are examples of Liberal politicians speaking at mens clubs:

I feel a lot better now, thanks for asking.
