'This is a Zionist campaign to escalate the suppression of the Palestinian people and they are using every device they can to provoke a response to provide a further justification for a new and more drastic repression and invasion,' said Ralph Schoenman, author of Hidden History of Zionism, from Berkeley, in a Friday interview."

Operation Solid Rock, Gaza Invasion Begins  -  by Richard Silverstein

http://www.richardsilverstein.com/20`4/07/07/operation-mighty-cliff-gaza-invasion-begins/

"...All of these deaths are needless of course. They're testimony not just to Israel's obduracy and rejectionism, but to the indifference of the international community which needs to come to its senses and intervene to stop the slow-mo decimation of peace, justice, and Palestinian sovereignty.

Israel is a garrison nation in a constant state of war with its neighbors. Nothing and no one within Israel is capable of transforming the country into a peaceful country. That's why the rest of the world better do it before Israel lights the match and the entire region bursts into flame..."

TRNN: Israeli Government and Press Knew Teenagers Were Dead For Weeks (and vid)

http://therealnews.com/t2/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=31&I...

"...And this exactly is what this whole operation is about. The unity between Fatah and Hamas brought the latest in a series of political embarrassments to the Israeli Prime Minister, and he was adamant to break the unity between the two rival Palestinian political factions.

Now it looks like the rage on the streets, on the Palestinian streets in the West Bank, as we've covered last week, has turned against the PA, - and the Israeli government and the Israeli military at the same time have been crippling the Hamas Party. So we're seeing here both externally and internally a rift between the two parties, which will likely lead to the end of unity.

Yesterday they killed a senior official in the Hamas Party, and as a result for the first time since November 2012, since the last war we had here, the Hamas Party launched a rocket against southern Israel. So we're seeing there's a very intentional campaign of agitation.

There was one soldier who leaked to the Orthodox paper Behadry Haredim that there was actually snipers in the Jenin refugee camp who were trying to shoot people to instigate the stone throws. So we're seeing that the government is intentionally trying to instigate a third intifada, which will then legitimize a very wide, violent campaign against the West Bank and Gaza Strip..."

It was clear from the beginning that the kidnappers weren’t acting on orders from Hamas leadership in Gaza or Damascus. Hamas’ Hebron branch — more a crime family than a clandestine organization — had a history of acting without the leaders’ knowledge, sometimes against their interests. Yet Netanyahu repeatedly insisted Hamas was responsible for the crime and would pay for it.

Haaretz: Jewish Hate of Arabs Proves Israel Must Undergo Cultural Revolution

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article39025.htm

"...Abu Khdeir's murderers are not 'Jewish extremists'. They are the descendants and builders of a culture of hate and vengeance that is nurtured and fertilized by the guides of 'the Jewish state'. Those for whom every Arab is a bitter enemy, simply because they are Arab...

No less responsible for the murder are those who did not halt, with an iron hand, violence by Israeli soldiers against Palestinian civilians, and who fails to investigate complaints 'due to lack of public interest.'

The term 'Jewish extremists' actually seems more appropriate for the small Jewish minority that is still horrified by thse acts of violance and murder But they too recognize, unfortunately, that they belong to a vengeful, vindictive Jewish tribe whose license to perpetuate horrors is based on the horrors that were done to it.

Prosecuting the murderers is no longer sufficient. There must be a cultural revolution in Israel. Its political leaders and military officers must recognize this injustice and right it. They must begin rasing the next generation at least, on humanist values, and foster a tolerant public discourse.

Without these the Jewish tribe will not be worthy of its own state."

[Israel Attacks Gaza -  JDL-Canada Attacks Palestine House]

JDL Canada recently mounted an outrageous but succesful provocation designed to attack and demolish Palestine House. Given the claimed success of JDL's past interventions with Canada's pro-Zionist government, including the banning of George Galloway as a 'terrorist supporter', we may assume the Zio lobby again may well prove successful.

Three Injured Near Palestine House as Protest Turns to Riot in Mississauga

http://www.thespec.com/news-story/4615067-three-injured-near-palestine-h...

"...Witnesses said the initial gathering was held to protest the killing of three Israeli teens and the suspected revenge killing [burned alive] of a Palestinian teen in the Middle East. The protest was reportedly organized by the JEWISH DEFENCE LEAGUE of TORONTO.

'We got a call from the police today and were sent an email from the Jewish Defence League of Toronto that they wanted to come hold a protest at the Palestine House,' said Raed Ayad, one of the directors of Palestine House. 'We organized our community to stand not against them, but in commemoration of our fight and our struggle for human rights...

We are a community, we've been here for about 20 years, so the reality is we're here to commemorate our people."

Palestine House is intrinsically linked to the terrorist organization Hamas - neither of which have a place in Canadian society. Please send your information and reports in confidence to   "

Israel is able to wage "war" indiscriminately on a people who are barely able to feed themselves, let alone defend themselves. Israel on the other hand is a modern 21st century military surveillance state with comparitively infinite resources. Over 100 Palestinians dead vs. 0 Israelis. The Israelis can catch rockets in the sky. The Palestinians cannot. Israel has a huge network of bomb shelters. The Palestinians do not.

This is not even war. It is an atrocity. The Israelis are using any excuse. The leadership are overgrown adolescents using a real military and the international media as a video game, and human beings as targets.

The opinion of Jews evidently matters to Harper, Trudeau, and Mulcair. How do they reconcile the fact that Jews are coming out to anti-Israeli demonstrations, and that Israel itself is becoming more and more unpopular with North American and European Jews in the opinion polls?

Israel must be restrained.

I think I understand your intent, but to your actual statement: BULLSHIT. The only thing that matters to them is the imperial interests of Canada, the U.S., and the "West" in general (which of course includes Israel). Under different circumstances, they would watch quietly while Jews were led into death camps. Just as they watch with various degrees of indifference as Palestinians are slaughtered.

What is there to "reconcile"? Those Jews in the streets are self-hating traitors. I should know, I've been one for decades. Baird never opens his filthy mouth without calling Israel "the Jewish state". These are the enemies of the Jewish people everywhere. Trudeau and Mulcair are no different.

Quote:
Israel must be restrained.

Only the Palestinian people and the other victims of aggression in the region - along with the Israeli opposition - with the assistance of such movements as BDS - can restrain Israel. If those forces aren't powerful enough, then the aggression and mass murder and denial of national liberation and apartheid will continue. And ask me how optimistic I am about progress.

Israel: How Netanyahu lied to whip up racist hysteria

Quote:
From the moment three Israeli teens were reported missing last month, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the country’s military-intelligence apparatus suppressed the flow of information to the general public.

Through a toxic blend of propaganda, subterfuge and incitement, they inflamed a precarious situation, manipulating Israelis into supporting their agenda until they made an utterly avoidable nightmare inevitable.

Israeli police, intelligence officials and Netanyahu knew within hours of the kidnapping and murder of the three teens that they had been killed. And they knew who the prime suspects were less than a day after the kidnapping was reported.

Rather than reveal these details to the public, Israel’s Shin Bet intelligence agency imposed a gag order on the national media. This barred news outlets from reporting that the teens had almost certainly been killed, and banned them from revealing the identities of their suspected killers.

The Shin Bet even lied to the parents of the kidnapped teens, deceiving them into believing their sons were alive.

Instead of mounting a limited action to capture the suspected perpetrators and retrieve the teens’ bodies, Netanyahu staged an aggressive international public relations campaign. He demanded sympathy and outrage from world leaders, who were also given the impression that the missing teens were still alive.

Meanwhile, Israel’s armed forces rampaged throughout the occupied West Bank and bombarded the Gaza Strip in a campaign of collective punishment deceptively marketed to Israelis and the world as a rescue mission.

Critical details that were known all along by Netanyahu and the military-intelligence apparatus were relayed to the Israeli public only after the abduction of more than 560 Palestinians, including at least 200 still held without charges.

It was made public after the raiding of Palestinian universities and ransacking of countless homes; after six Palestinian civilians were killed by Israeli forces; after US-trained Palestinian Authority police assisted Israeli soldiers attacking Palestinian youths in the center of Ramallah; and after Israel’s international public relations extravaganza had run its course.

Weeks after the incident, it is now clear that the Israeli government, intelligence services and army engaged in a cover-up to provide themselves with the political space they required for a military campaign that had little to do with rescuing any kidnapped teens.

The disinformation campaign they waged sent a heavily indoctrinated, comprehensively militarised population into a tribalistic frenzy. It provoked a wave of high-level incitement, the shocking revenge killing of an innocent Palestinian teen and rioting across East Jerusalem.

Where the chaos will end and how far it will spread is unknown. But its origins are increasingly clear.

Israel’s incremental genocide in the Gaza ghetto

Quote:

In a September 2006 article for The Electronic Intifada, I defined the Israeli policy towards the Gaza Strip as an incremental genocide.

Israel’s present assault on Gaza alas indicates that this policy continues unabated. The term is important since it appropriately locates Israel’s barbaric action — then and now — within a wider historical context.

This context should be insisted upon, since the Israeli propaganda machine attempts again and again to narrate its policies as out of context and turns the pretext it found for every new wave of destruction into the main justification for another spree of indiscriminate slaughter in the killing fields of Palestine.

FAQ on Failed Effort to Arrange Ceasefire Between Israel and Hamas

Q - Why do you think Hamas didn't accept the terms of the ceasefire?

RK [Rashid Khalidi] - "Hamas has insisted that there be a lasting resolution of the basic problem of Israel's siege of Gaza, as was promised as part of the 2012 cease-fire, but never implemented in spite of Israel's recognition that Hamas scrupulously maintained the cease-fire until quite recently. The Egyptian proposal makes lifting of the siege conditional on Israel's approval, which means never."

MR [Mouin Rabbani] - "Hamas, and with it other Palestinian organizations such as Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, have indicated that they were not consulted on the Egyptian cease-fire proposal, and that it has not been formally presented to them but rather released to the media after its terms were agreed with Israel.

"In terms of the proposal's contents, what these organizations and many Palestinians object to is that it simply restores a 2012 ceasefire agreement that Israel has systematically violated and does not provide any guarantees such violations would cease. These violations consist not only of periodic armed Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, but also Israel's refusal to respect clauses on the rights of fishermen in Gaza's territorial waters and farmers in land close to the Gaza/Israel boundary.

"Hamas has additionally stated that it would not accept an agreement that does not provide for the immediate re-release of Palestinian prisoners who were released by Israel in 2011 as part of a prisoner exchange with Israel, but re-arrested by Israel in the last month.

"More broadly, Hamas and other Palestinian organizations are averse to returning to an untenable status quo, which lasts only until Israel once again decides to launch a major assault on the Gaza Strip, and which does not include concrete steps towards lifting the ongoing and prolonged blockade of the Gaza Strip.

"There is widespread Palestinian suspicion that Egypt, which has shown nothing but unremitting hostility towards Hamas since the current regime seized power in July 2013, released a proposal it ensured would be acceptable to Israel but rejected by the Palestinians, in order to help Israel legitimize an escalation of attacks against the Gaza Strip. It is likely to have done so in close cooperation with its new best friend, Tony Blair, and other advocates of Israeli power in the Arab world and internationally."

NE [Noura Erakat] - “Within two days of Israel’s aerial assault on the population of the Gaza Strip, Hamas announced five conditions for a ceasefire: 1) stop the airstrikes; 2) observe terms of 2012 ceasefire; 3) release the Palestinians released during the Shalit prisoner exchange who were recently re-arrested; 4) lift the siege; and 5) don’t interfere with Palestinian unity government. What little is known about the proposed ceasefire agreement is that it demands a cessation of violence with no conditions thus reverting to conditions that are even worse than the status quo ante.

“This clearly weakens Hamas politically, exacerbates the humanitarian conditions under which Palestinians struggle, and emboldens Israel to strike again with zero accountability. That said, it is not in the Palestinians’ best interest for Hamas to continue launching rockets regardless of the circumstances, as it provides a justification for Israel to continue its brutal attacks on a defenseless and besieged population.”
