Is there an explanation that works, other than the growing suspicion that this was planned to derail the Iran nuclear deal at the most appropriate time during Obama's speech. If the Western media isn't talking about it then that just adds to the conspriacy theory.
Yes, and there's also a rumour floating around that what was intended was a provocative attack designed to draw an Iranian response and all hell to then break lose. This was supposedly averted by sophisticated Russian technology employed to 'jam' the electronics of the US boats and render them dead in the water. We may never know the real truth, but the thing definitely smells fishy..
