Karl is in a league by himself as far as reporting on Canada's federal political scene.

Never before in all my years of following federal politics have I seen anyone else, unconnected with a political party, even remotely approach his abilities to cut through the nonsense and describe what is actually going on.

Let's take our hat off to Karl Nerenberg and support him and rabble.ca

Pretty high praise... but I'm inclined to agree... and I even pulled out a little cash to Keep Karl on Parl. My hat is well and truly off.

Not to mention his excellent documentary about the persecution of Hungarian Roma people and the Cons' complicity in sending them back to discrimination, misery and pogroms, "Never Come Back".

k, thanks, will have a closer look and not just read the headlines.

How would you compare him with retired Don Newman? The latter had great access, and his tough questions were sorta under the radar, but compared to that hoser in the job right now ...

Still waiting for a story on the outrageous absence of parliamentary oppostion to Canada's support of the US-installed Nazi oligarchy of Ukraine. We are sending troops there after all. How about a look back at Libya and Canada's role? Do  MPs who voted FOR it know what ensued there or have any regrets?

Let's have something on Canada-Israel 'free trade' and the growing Zionist influence on Canadian foreign policy. Or NDP support for 'Free Trade' CETA, TPP etc. Lots of stories around that still seem to be verboten even amongst so-called 'alternative' media. You can always tell the hand that feeds them by noticing it's usually the one they are careful never to bite -  so glad to hear  (according to NR) you are 'unconnected with a political party'.

COUNTERPOINT: Karl is on the take.

Discuss.

I get the impression that a lot of us are suspicious of forces on both sides of the Russia - Ukraine conflict.

It is untrue that Karl hasn't written about Israel; I have no idea whether he has touched on those particular aspects. One can't write about everything. That also applies to the other stories "not covered".

I suppose I should question whether he has written about the need for walkable and cyclable neighbourhoods, and if that is not the case, it is proof that he is on the take from the auto and petroleum industries... Wink
