We've already forgotten Lac-Mégantic - Québec election day
This seems like just so much Toronto. Everyone (including corporations, but why not children or other creatures who depend on us who are at least sentient beings) can choose to meet our reduce-pollution responsibility which we have whether we like it or not and work towards a greener, cleaner life but we must pay more for it thanks to all the corporate bend-overs infesting Canada's government, so it's "I can't afford it" meanwhile they have at least one vehicle making the air cancerous, or it's "why should I pay?" and the middle class waits for the rich to take the lead. I think it's because not enough people with money have children and so they just don't care if Earth's habitable for humans after they're gone.
Jacquie, you should include a link to Nora's blog article in your thread.
Nora's article (Nora lives in Quebec City, is bilingual and volunteers for Québec Solidaire) is here: We've already forgotten Lac-Mégantic
Sorry, I will provide the links in future. I'm new to commenting on this fantastic site.
No worries Jacquie. Thanks for commenting and welcome to babble!
