babble is rabble.ca's discussion board but it's much more than that: it's an online community for folks who just won't shut up. It's a place to tell each other — and the world — what's up with our work and campaigns.

The babble echo chamber!

This victory by Trump caused by the corruption and the arrogance of the Democrats may well end politics as we know it Trump will now be nominating Supreme Court judges for four if not the next eight years Does the Labour movement even have a future?

No, the world will come to an end. The great U.S. as we know it will crash and burn.

Trump Wins the Unions: Teamsters Praise TPP Withdrawal, Labor Chiefs Describe 'Incredible' Meeting with Trump

"When Trump said the administration 'just officially terminated TPP,' it prompted applause from the labor chiefs who later described their meeting with Trump as 'incredible'..."

Despite the efforts made by Teamsters For Democracy, that particular union remains one of the most reactionary and corrupt around. Here they've also been used by management as a yellow or sweetheart union to counter organising efforts by real unions such as the CSN and CUPE.

Now that Trump is in favour of pipelines some people on this board are willing to praise him. We now have threads were people praise Kinder Morgan and Keystone XL. I once thought this board had an environmental ethos but it seems to have evolved into a pro-oil site.

The Teamster's like most unions has activists with good principles however they are a distinct minority. I remember decades ago when I was engaging in a flying picket at the first camps going in for the Roger's Pass double tracking project. We stopped a bus driven by a Teamster and his response was to tell me that he would like to run me over but the Teamster executive hadn't taken a stand yet on our actions designed to ensure the project was done under union contract.

i've never seen anyone here agree on much let alone be an echo chamber. lolol
