Downtown Eastside Local Area Plan under attack

A key feature of the plan to go to Vancouver City Council is the establishment of a no-condo zone in the heart of the neighbourhood. This zone is under attack from business owners, developers and local media outlets. Wendy Pedersen is a long-time resident of the Downtown Eastside. She’s a researcher and community organizer on housing and gentrification issue. She speaks with Redeye host Lorraine Chisholm.
