The World Social Forum kicked off in Montreal today with an opening march and gathering!

Throughout the week, activists from around the world will participate in over 1,500 self-managed committees and several dozen grand conferences to discuss how to build a better world.

This year marks the first time that the Forum has been held in the Global North.

rabble podcast network executive producer was there today with Sophia Reuss, rabble's news intern. Tune in to hear from organizers, participants, and speakers to learn more about the Forum! We'll be back tomorrow to explore how the Forum speakers and participants are building economic alternatives.

With the rabble podcast team Victoria Fenner, Sophia Reuss, Campbell McClintock, Greg MacDougall and Dave Kattenburg.
