On August 1, nearly 200 people gathered at Victory Square in Vancouver for the Two Spirited Queers, Trans, Intersexed, and Bisexual People of Colour Pride March.

When I was in my mid-20s I attended my very first women's bathhouse event, The Pussy Palace, which was raided that same night by the Toronto Police in 2000.

The Black Lives Matter action at the Toronto Pride Parade helped bring about change and gave voice to so many who are increasingly marginalized by how Pride is currently being run.

Trans health care in Canada: A federal responsibility?

Canada has an international reputation for tolerance and free universal health care. However, these provisions don't hold up as well for its trans citizens, whose access to health care is often impinged by systemic transphobia and provincial differences in surgery options.

Not Rex: Orlando shootings product of homegrown hate and gun culture

Orlando is red with the blood from people who aren't even allowed to legally give blood.

We need to look at how the homegrown hate and out-of-control gun culture in America is fuelling these crimes and do something more than just declaring these attacks tragedies.
